- forward your University of York / Hull emails to your HYMS email account
- forward your HYMS email to your University of York / Hull or NHS account
How to forward your University of Hull emails to your HYMS email account
Forwarding University of Hull emails
- Open your browser in incognito mode.
- Log in to the University of Hull Microsoft 365 by clicking on the following link; www.office.com. You will need to enter your email address in the format “b.smith@hull.ac.uk”.
- Once logged in, Click on the “Outlook Tab” (left hand side of the screen) then click on the “Settings Cog”.
- Select “Forwarding”.
- Tick “Enable Forwarding”.
- Enter your HYMS email address.
- Click “Keep a copy of forwarded messages”.
- Click Save, Forwarding will now be activated.
How to forward your University of York emails to your HYMS email account
Forwarding University of York emails
- Log in to the University of York’s Google Mail by clicking on the following link; http://mail.york.ac.uk/.
- Once logged in, click on the cog icon (top right), then click on ‘see all settings’.
- Click the ‘forwarding and POP/IMAP’ tab.

- Click on ‘add a forwarding address’ and type your HYMS email address in the format ‘hys123@hyms.ac.uk’.

- Click on ‘next’ and then proceed to confirm the address. This sends an email to your HYMS account to verify that it is correct.

- You will now need to go back to your HYMS email and find the confirmation email.
- Click on the link in the email, and you will see a confirmation success message.

- Back in your York Gmail account, click on ‘verify’.
- Select ‘forward a copy of incoming mail to…’
- Choose your HYMS email address from the first drop-down menu.
- From the second box, choose ‘mark University of York mail as read’.
- Finally, click on ‘save changes’. Forwarding will now be activated.
How to forward your HYMS emails to an NHS or University of York / Hull email account
Forwarding HYMS emails
- Log in to your HYMS email account by clicking on the following link: https://www.office.com
- Once logged in, click on the settings cog.
- Click on ‘forwarding’.
- Click on ‘enable forwarding’ and enter the email address you wish to forward to.

- Click on ‘keep a copy of forwarded messages’ if required.
- Click on ‘save’. Forwarding will now be activated.
