Guide Overview
This guide provides key information on:
- Accessing printing facilities with York University, Hull University, Hull York Medical School and NHS user credentials (username and password)
- student printer credit
The University of Hull
SmartPrint is the University’s campus-wide managed print service. Please click on the following link and search “Printing” for further guidance (Login required).
For access to printing from a personal, York or NHS Device connect to the Hull VPN (Global Protect) and and navigate to https://myprint.hull.ac.uk/app
Sign in with your Hull User ID and password then click on the Web print option to submit a document for printing.
Required credentials
You can use your Hull University ID card to log into the printing machines. However, if you do not have your card with you, you can also manually enter on the printer screen your Hull University userID and password.
The University of York
York Print Plus is the printing, copying and scanning service for staff and students at the University of York. Please click on the following link to access further guidance; York Print Plus.
Required credentials
To log into the printing machines you can use your York University ID card. If you do not have your card with you, you can also manually enter on the printer screen your York University userID and password. (This option is not available on some printers).
NHS sites
Printing is now only available through a local NHS IT account at NHS Education Centres. Please contact the local Student Liaison team for further details.
Student printer credit
Printer credit allowance
Hull York Medical School provides all students with a printer credit for each academic year. We anticipate that this should be sufficient for student printing needs throughout the year.
Top up your printer credit
Students can top up their printer credit via the relevant university service. Please click on the following links for further guidance.
